Flex Conducting Etudes are a collection of adaptable exercises designed for the beginning conductor. Organized into eleven different conducting units, each excerpt is intentionally designed to address specific beginning conducting techniques and skills. Every etude has been arranged into two parts, with part books available to allow any instrument to perform either Part 1 or Part 2. This flexible instrumentation design enables educators to teach beginning conducting regardless of ensemble instrumentation in their classroom. My goal in designing this collection is to ensure meaningful, inclusive conducting experiences ranging from a full band to the smallest ensemble.
